LITERATURE: Meditations

Okay folks, I dug around the house through the piles of books in every room and found the original antique version of the weblog. Its blogger is no less than the long dead Marcus Aurelius.

Kept this one handy from a previous class because it combined some Stoic philosophy with common sense and Miss Manners, and that seemed to me at the time to be a pretty good recipe for life. Now all this philosophisizing has me off on a new tangent and it seemed a likely time to dig back into Meditations as a starter.

Not to worry though, I’m not letting all the rest of life’s demands negligate (another new one!) into compost again. If I cut back to four hours’ sleep and take dinner on the run, I can still fit this in. I’ve already given up TV privileges and computer games except for IF and a quick run at Freecell now and then, so as Neha had suggested once, there are now some carved out spaces to fill in with reading and writing again.

By jove, I’m getting to be famous… Twice in the same day, I’ve seen my name up on two logs.
Glad to be of assistance… hope you enjoy your new carved time.
