REALITY?: Colors

As rain paints the day springtime green, I see the trees of wine, jelly, applesauce, turn blooms to mini-fruit. Crabapple, quince, peach and oh, a sour cherry tree that took fifteen years or more to grow a pie.

Those are gorgeous blooming trees. The fruit seems like simply an added bonus to their spring beauty.

Thank you, Barbara! Actually, the crabapple and cherry (white flowers on both) got into a fuller bloom but I didn’t feel like taking another picture of each. We don’t have a lot of spring flowers, mostly because of bulb-eating varmints, so I depend on the fruit trees and the lilacs to announce spring.
