I’m sorry, but I find it incredibly thoughtless of a neighbor to have housepainters come in on a holiday and while they’re not running machinery, have the radio going all day. I don’t get much time to just sit out back and think or read in peace. And while I’m always able to do that inside while our TV is on, we live where we do for the enjoyment of the outdoors; to hear birds chirping instead of Dean Martin. Even the people who live here wouldn’t think of making noise all day long on a holiday or Sunday unless it was necessary, or they’re having a picnic.
Meanwhile, she took off to quieter places.
