It looks like schools across America have The Swimmer as Assigned Reading this week; much as Atwood’s Happy Endings was the hot topic back in October. I’ve had more hits from Google, Yahoo and the like on this subject over the weekend than on anything else. Hell, in my own research on Blood Meridian I found Spinning to be a good source!
But since one of the purposes of Spinning is to analyze literature, I’m not bothering to hide it. It’s only my opinion, and if it helps someone out, fine. Wish they’d leave comments however if they disagree or have other input…
