TECHNOLOGY: Update

Well, with the help of my former English Professor and my own innate sense of irresponsibly accurate guesswork, I now have bought the proper Flash Memory Card for the camera and the memory stick for the little doohickey jump drive you can wear around your neck so that you have all your vital records with you if you get hit by a truck. I can either spend another week figuring it out, or I can prevail upon my nieces and nephews to show me how to work this stuff this weekend. It’s the least they can do for a free meal. Although quite honestly, I’m more up on some of this stuff than they are, these children who teethed on keyboards.

And, in the proper silver lining way of thinking, rather than investing any more money into technology right now, I’ve talked myself into believing that pop-ups are the poor man’s video games.

(NOTE: Realized that this post was half-inspired by a phone conversation with my sister, still audibly upset over almost getting squished by a large truck running a red light. She wasn’t comforted much by my sympathetic yet practical response that her timing would have been great, seeings that her kids were coming home for the weekend anyway…)
