REALITY: Neighborly Gestures and Warm Puppies

Well, not a puppy; a six-year old Jack Russell mix that looks more like a grossly overweight Chihuahua—my neighbor’s new dog.

Since she’s had Labs for the last fifteen years, she’s worried that this little guy’s size might get him squished by a UPS truck pulling into the driveway (he’s on an electric fence, and I’ve had to mimic getting electrocuted to help train him.  Either he got the idea or thinks I’m spastic.).  So, I had my friend, Gus, make a sign that we put in at the beginning of the driveway that says, “Please watch out for small dog.”

Evil Susan was going to put another one in on the opposite side of the driveway leading out:  “Please check your tires before leaving.”
