WRITING: Metaphor

What made me think the dance would be enough?  To waltz around the ballroom, gleaming wood like colored ice, or boogy with the beat of native instinct, drums of rumbling deep within or of the heart. 

Ballerina slippers touching toetips to the floor or barefoot feeling of the rhythm of the earth, I danced until the music stopped.
