BLOGGING: No, Typepad DOESN’T Suck

How embarrassing; realized that an entry I posted some time ago raging against Typepad is a big catcher of hits and it likely isn’t a fair and accurate reporting of my overall contentment with the service.

It was probably at a time when it lost a long posting on me, likely a book review that I’d put a lot of thought into at the time.  Everything I write here is now written straight into the posting box (I copy and paste from the weblog itself into a Word Document for backup every couple days) so that it comes from the mind onto the screen.  If it’s lost, well, aye, there’s the rub.

In opening up a new weblog yesterday and today, I’m discovering all kinds of goodies that Typepad offers that I would’ve known about had I read their e-mail notices or the opening page once logged in.  Cloud tags, widgets, feeds, and now Vlog It are just a few of the items that I’ve been looking for in the past and am starting to use in the new blog.

I apologize to Typepad (didn’t send them a special apology cause I was kinda hopin’ they hadn’t caught the nasty post) for my temper tantrum, and while I could delete the post, well…that’d be like trying to change history.

This’ll have to do.

I use TypePad too Susan. There’s a hitch once in a while, but generally I’m pretty happy with them. I hear complaints about all of the providers at some time or another. I’ve noticed all the goodies that TypePad is offering…haven’t really checked any out yet. I have a tendency to stick pretty much to what I know….stepping outside the box from time to time. I wish I was more of a technical person….I’d feel much more secure in checking other things out. Take care Susan…
