TECHNOLOGY: All’s Well

…so far. And I must admit that I’m slowly learning to love Windows XP.  The installation of Win XP directly into my new system worked like a charm, and putting in the device drivers was a simple matter allowing the system to pick them correctly off the CD rather than hand-picking them out of the CAB files and delivering them up, all the while crossing my fingers hoping I was selecting the correct individual files.

I’m going to next tie the new computer in with the LAN network and hope that the connection automatically adapts, though the onboard LAN is not the Linksys of the other computers.  Here is where I broke down and called my personal guru to get his suggestions.  He also gave me some great ideas on trying to salvage the data off the dead hard drive by moving it around to different computers and changing master/slave settings on this physical drive as well as another where there should be a backup, as well as possibly a bootable system.

I am however having a little problem with my laptop and a sticking W key.  My professional technological opinion?  A food crumb.
