REALITY: Tomato Soup Days

Windows slam shut, quilts are added to bedding, a sweater’s pulled out of the low bottom drawer, and dungaree legs meet my shoes.

A phone call from the house to the shop: "Lunch is ready, I made tomato soup and grilled cheese."

I fly through the chill air to the warmth of home, hearth and husband.
