LITERATURE & REALITY: Oopsie!

Yeah, yeah, I know; I haven’t been reading and writing about it.  But you must understand, in the shop my fingers are so cold I couldn’t hold the pages open if I even felt like spending time in outdoor temperatures reading.  Believe me, I run into the shop, knock a corner together, put the glue back in front of one of the electric heaters (yes, within 6 inches of it; they lie when they tell you not to put anything within 3 feet.  I put my hands right on the grill to thaw them out.  Believe me, it’s not hot enough to start any kind of piss-poor fire.)  and run back into the house again.  Today I took advantage of the 45 degree temperatures to stay in there and cut up cardboard (until I saw a lot of red streaks and realized I’d cut my finger with the Stanley knife) in preparation for the new propane stove.

Well, it did arrive today and I scared the poor delivery driver by telling him I loved him.

But I will get back to reading and writing about it shortly.  As soon as I’m warm and working effectively and getting through the mound of Christmas framing that piled up around my shivering body.
