REALITY?: Hurts

Not a good morning.  Banged my cut finger and got it bleeding nice and red again.  Then, armed with a my laptop in its shoulder bag and a cuppa coffee, took a flyer off the back steps and spun a bit before landing like a turtle on its back.  Nothing broke, not even the coffe cup which went flying across the ice-covered concrete.  Honest, it looked like it had all melted off the lawn and the driveway was fine so I didn’t even think to look out before my first step went out from under me.

Then, since we didn’t have the proper fittings for the propane stove, we didn’t hook it up last night.  And, the legs need to be put on, started with self-tapping screws which I cannot find but I know I have somewhere.  Called the propane people to come hook it up for me but the service manager is out and the next in power is nice, but can’t seem to comprehend what I want them to do.  I finally said, "I am without heat.  It’s as cold in here as it is outside.  The sooner you come out to hook up the stove the sooner I’ll be able to use and pay for your propane."

Update:  They can’t come out until tomorrow, and even then, wouldn’t hook it up for another week.  Suggested I see if I can get another contractor.  Told them I could do that, and if I get someone, they’d be my new propane suppliers as well.

Don’t be taking a page from my book, dear one. I’ve all the grace of a hippo with leg cramps.

Glad you weren’t seriously hurt or i’d have to call and pester you.

Man, it would’ve been quite a shot of me lying there on my back on the ice with one foot still two feet up on the stone step. Luckily, I’m padded enough to roll a bit before coming to a stop.
